About Me

I am an epic fantasy author who specializes in writing stories designed to inflict emotional damage, make you laugh and cry, and leave you gasping for breath by the end. My work is ambitious in scope, craft, story, trope subversion, POV cast, and theme. It is the kind of work that rewards close, attentive reading and an ability to hold multiple storylines at once. Yes, I will make you work for your story-time enjoyment, and I do so with a satisfied smile.

More than anything else, my work focuses on the intimate and the vast with equal care and attention. It will draw you deep into the minds of my characters and show you the infinite hungry dark on its way to rip humanity limb from limb, one at a time. I also created the top Grimdark fantasy hub online (r/GrimdarkEpicFantasy) + I revived its previously dead sister-hub (r/GrimDark) and organize events with genre giants (Mark Lawrence, Glen Cook, Joe Abercrombie, Anna Smith Spark, ect.).

I created this community because of two things. First, my amazing partner in life Madison. I would have never started to write again without her and I certainly wouldn’t have created the community or finished the book without her. The other was because of the hungry passion for Grimdark on as epic a scale as possible and the desire to find other people who shared my passion. I saw that r/GrimDark was banned and no community existed for Grimdark, and so I decided I would curate the space myself as fairly and passionately as I could and draw my peers to me so we could grow and improve together.

I write because I must, many stories live inside me and are demanding to be forged into epics, and so that is what I will do. Join me on my author career and revel in Grimdark done right.
